Installation Instructions
- Items provided are (4) mounting screws and calibration rod. Items needed - carpenters level, pencil, drill, philips screwdriver, wall anchors (not supplied) if needed for mounting on plasterboard.
- Select a convenient location above a hard surface floor.
- It is recommended that two people install the stadiometer.
- Verify wall is flat by turning the stadiometer 90 degrees from wall and checking wall flatness with the edge of the base. Installing the stadiometer on a bowed wall can damage the stadiometer or cause it to not work properly. If wall is slightly bowed, you may use small spacers between the stadiometer mounting bracket and the wall, but do not bow the stadiometer. Never drill additional holes in the stadiometer!
- Firmly hold the stadiometer to the wall.
- Use carpenters level to ensure stadiometer is plumb (vertical).
- Use the 1 meter calibration rod provided to determine the height of the stadiometer above the floor. Align the 1 meter mark on the scale with the top of the calibration rod.
- Carefully mark the centers of the two top mounting holes on the wall and set stadiometer aside.
- Drill holes for top screws. If mounting to plasterboard you may want to use anchors or toggle bolts (not provided)
- Secure the stadiometer to the wall with two screws. Verify height and plumbness is correct.
- Carefully mark the centers of the two bottom mounting holes.
- Remove stadiometer from the wall.
- Drill holes for bottom screws.
- Secure the stadiometer to the wall with all four screws and re-verify height and plumbness.
- Ask a doctor to verify the height is correct.
